We need that Thailand Blacklist of Schools back
« on: February 05, 2006, 01:03:54 pm »
After watching 'school-watch-website' after 'school-watch-website' bite it here in Thailand, I can say we NEED a blacklist! Bring it back, oh mighty IMPs!

Great site, btw.

We do need it, we need it in a bad way. Something that isn't going to vanish away.

Here is the deal, the posts here will remain here. Plain and simple. When the site was first being designed, it almost went the way of a blog style where people could post their experiences and people could comment on posts, but in the end the forum won out.

Nevermind, we will have the best of both worlds. When a post has remained on this board 30 to 40 days, I will copy it over to the main page with pertinent replies attached. Comments on each article will be allowed. It will continue to reside on this board, but it will also be viewable on our main blog page, searchable from Google as well as on the on-site search engine.

We have a forum to seperate the wheat from the chaff and we will have a blacklist to highlight the bad schools without a lot of excess chatter.

Here here, more power to the teacher. The schools have their own blacklist of teachers (allegedly) let the teachers have theirs. {-}

It is indeed gratifying to see that people are willing to post comments about the school they are involved with ,whether positive or negative comments :).

Remembering of course that sometimes as has been shown in recent postings the teaching staff are their own worst enemies by virtue of their actions and comments, thus contributing to the abuse of power by schoolowners and principals :'(.

In short, yes let's keep the blacklist and that includes staff too whether Thai or foreign ::).

we have no union or any other form of defence other than voting with our feet, sometimes not the easiest of options either ! {}}

This forum and its content are indeed desirable for the easing of teachers problems and indeed the schools too. {b<c>

So keep the comments rolling in folks.
