Visa Permits for Brazil
« on: November 05, 2006, 10:31:04 PM »
I'm moving to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in December to look for a teaching job.  However, when I was there for a few weeks in August I found it very hard for any school to even accept my application without a proper work visa.  Does anyone know of any schools that don't require a work visa or that would sponser one.  I know it costs them quite a bit, I think around $2,000 US, but I'm not sure exactly.

The only luck I've come across is FISK as a possibility and Feedback Idiomas.  Is there anyone who has been granted a visa from Brazil or that knows of some schools in Rio that I could look up?

I have been looking for schools that give visas/work permits in Brazil, but they are definitely hard to come by. It appears that those who know of schools are keeping it to themselves. About the easiest way to get a long stay for Brazil is to get an education visa and then work on the side.
