Surveys for money?

Ok, I am getting burned out on teaching so I saw this ad for working in Thailand by doing surveys over the internet. The guys says you can make thousands of dollars a month by doing it. Ok, I am not slow, I know the guy is probably full of it. I know you can earn money by doing surveys online, but how muchcan you really earn? Anyone have any real idea?

The guy is pulling your chain. 

To get the real $$$$ you would need to fit the ideal profile of so many different companies you would need to be 100 different people.  The big bucks is testing stuff in real life, online you might get $1-10 a time for up to 30 minutes.

Its extra beer money, thats all.
