-REALLY really hoping to find anyone out there coming from abroad to work for Holistic in Chile!!!!! A word a fair warning ( or a few words): There is no Spanish program, and no curriculum for teaching English. I have found a string of teachers across the country who were brought to Chile to work for Holistic, all with crazy stories of not being paid correctly. Several teachers were offered minimal and rough living conditions when they arrived,... after being promised gorgeous, organic- country, farm style living, lots of technology and resources, and etc when abroad. Several of us were robbed out of the housing provided by the school. The work schedules are not as offered, the contracts not correct... The positions teachers are put into are dangerous, etc etc etc. Ask a few key questions. The director will likely never contact you again. FYI: The minimum wage for a worker in Chile is something bordering on 120,000 pesos a month. Also, there is nothing community service about Julia Silva's operation. If she gives scholarships it is either to scratch backs, or to generate more business. It might be wise to ask if anyone working at the school has any type of certification as a teacher ( not consultants or friends, but actual living and breathing employees). Best of luck! There are many other schools in Chile, all of which are much better than Holistic
