I worked for LPS about a year ago and they pull out the red carpet when you show up. During my interview I decided I didn't really feel comfortable with them and deliberately screwed up tenses and told them "I'm not sure what I would do in that situation....." when they asked me about unruly students. They told me to go out for a cup of coffee, then called me in chuckling and said "We've discussed your application and we're happy to take you". I would have been hired if I'd told them I was on the run for terrorism, murder and drugs charges!

In short, they're an agency and they look after they're 'clients' and not their teachers. It was one of my first gigs and they put me into a 'prestigious' crappy school in Silom run by a Catholic nun who made Hitler look like a hair stylist.
I ended up calling them giving a piece of my mind telling them they had the weekend to find another teacher. They asked me what could be improved at the school and agency and I replied "Take care of your teachers and shoot the penguin". Funny enough, after a whole spate of teachers left after me they eased the penguin out of office.
I do sometimes do some agency work, but only part time and on my own terms.
I'm not saying don't go near LPS......they do help first starters get experience and they have their place in the jungle; but just don't expect a long term satisfying career with them. Use them just as they'll use you and everyone wins
