When you call role in your class, have the students answer by saying "I'm _________"   It helps them to pronounce "I'm" correctly and is a more natural response in normal conversation.

Its worked great for me and is a good warm up activity!

I also ask other questions such as "How old are you?", "How are you?", "What nationality are you?" to get them to listen and answer during the time they might be doing a grammar exercise or such.
