NOKIA N95
« on: April 30, 2007, 01:44:31 AM »

Took delivery of the beast a couple of weeks ago and would like to recommend it to anyone out there looking for a new phone. Have been waiting for it to come out since last November and 3 months overdue it finally arrived. Can't think of much it hasn't got but two things that I don't have and miss, that I have in my pda are touch screen and the windows os. Having said that it does have a 5 megapixel cameria with digital zoom + vga camera (for 3G), dvd quality video, wifi, infared, bluetooth, real player, HSDPA (broadband speed internet - and believe me it is quick, much faster than my broadband at home), direct TV connection, stereo speakers, flippable portrait landscape QVGA 240x320 screen, radio ohh and you can make phone calls with it!! The size and weight are also great with it being smaller and lighter than the N80.

If you want to go the whole hog I would also recommend the Nokia HS12W stereo bluetooth headset which controls music, and phone calls and also displays incoming callers or numbers, misssed calls, messages in the LCD screen and if thats not enough it has an inbuilt standalone FM RDS radio.

:uk: N95 bought under a UK contract £55 (3500 baht approx) £170 per month of free calls and texts and unlimted internet for £37.50 per month rental (2300 baht approx). Cost for the sim free phone in the UK is around £400 - 500 (24-30000 baht).

HS12W Bluetooth stereo headset around £70  :dancing:

I'm about to buy this phone.

It's on ebay for around 14,000 THB plus 1,000 THB postage.

Can anyone suggest a better place to buy it and at what cost?  (I'm always nervous buying over the internet.)

FF.

P.S.  found the N95 for 14k on ebay (brand new).
