OK Your wish is my command. Brian Capron played Mr hopwood from 1980 - 1983

DOB: 11 February 1949
STAR SIGN: Aquarius

FILMS: Sid in THE CHIFFY KIDS (serial)
TV: You name it, Brian's been in it! Too many roles to list but they include: Jack in BERYL'S LOT (Yorkshire 1970s); Mr Stuart Hopwood in GRANGE HILL (BBC 1980-1983); Donald Worthington in CORONATION STREET (1982); Tosh Carey in UP THE ELEPHANT AND ROUND THE CASTLE (Thames 1980s); CASUALTY (BBC 1988); Jerry McKenzie in EASTENDERS (BBC 1994); Richard Hillman in CORONATION STREET (2001-2003); Ozias Harding in WHERE THE HEART IS (Anglia 2004-2006)

FAMILY: Brian has two daughters, Lucy Jane and Ellen Louise, from his marriage to actress Janette Legge.

MR HOPWOOD MARRIES MARTIN'S MUM! Brian is married to Jacqueline Bucknell, who played Martin and Ben's mum in Series 24. Born in Woodbridge, Suffolk, he now lives in Brighton.
YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW... Brian runs his own corporate entertainment firm, The Brilliant Company, with Jacqueline Bucknell. Click here to visit their web site.

RETURN TO SCHOOL? Brian has not ruled out a return to Grange Hill. "I'd love to go back as headmaster", he says. But would Mrs Bassinger stand aside?

Think you mean this chubby git
  Age: 36
DOB: 14 May 1970

STAR SIGN: Taurus
TV: Roland Browning in GRANGE HILL (BBC 1982-1987); Enormous Orphan in BLACKADDER'S CHRISTMAS CAROL (BBC 1988); Otto in CHEF! (BBC 1991); BRING BACK GRANGE HILL (Channel 4 2005); E4 MUSIC (2005)

ERKAN ON ROLAND: Unlike Roland, Erkan was a happy chap with plenty of friends. "I'm not like Roland at all", he told the 1984 Grange Hill annual. Sometimes Erkan would get stick because of his weight but he never let it get to him.
YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW: Roland was Erkan's first acting role. His teacher and his mum suggested he auditioned for the part when Grange Hill producers placed an ad in The Sun newspaper.

HOBBIES: Roland may have been lonely but Erkan was always a busy chap! When not filming he played rugby for his school and did judo. Erkan once had to decline an offer to join a rugby team because he was busy with filming. He was also a talented drummer and demonstrated his skills in the 1986 Drugwatch special, "It's Not Just Zammo".

FAMILY: Erkan is the youngest in his family; his brother Martin and sister Susan are both older. Martin and Erkan used to fight all the time but Sue was proud when Erkan got the part! WHERE IS HE NOW? Erkan is no longer acting but recently got his own slot with Lee MacDonald on E4 Music. In 1993 C4's "The Word" tracked him down to a friend's record shop where he was helping out. He then appeared on This Morning's Grange Hill reunion in 1998. Earlier this year Erkan took part in "Bring Back Grange Hill" for Channel 4, and appeared on Radio 1.

I hope TW isn't going down. This place rocks like a hurricane and is way better than the censorship over at Dave's.

Mr Bronson was always the best teacher IMHO (the best character anyway!)

I'm sure I spotted him in Auf weidershen pet as well

Not sure Sam will check it out for you. I love trivia

Michael Sheard is a highly regarded character actor who has appeared in numerous films and TV series. He is probably best remembered for his roles as Adolf Hitler in Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade, Admiral Ozzel in the Star Wars Trilogy and of course, Mr Maurice Bronson, Grange Hill’s legendary French teacher from 1985-1989.
Strict disciplinarian Mr Bronson was a former Latin teacher who arrived when Grange Hill merged with another school. It wasn’t long before his shout of ‘You Boy!’ became legendary. This well rounded character saw a series of strong storylines during his time on the show, including Mr Bronson’s ongoing problems with Anthony Jones and a long running feud with Danny Kendall.

Yep Sam well spotted he was in that great TV series Auf weidershen pet. He played the part of a German manager of a builing site. Sadly he is no longer with us he died in August 2005 at the age of 67 with cancer that he had been suffering with for many years. Here are some of his films
Crossroads (1964) (TV)
Fall of Eagles (1974) (TV)
Lillie (1978) (TV)
Force 10 from Navarone (1978)
Les Misérables (1978) (TV])
Take the High Road (1980) (TV)
Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
The Bunker (1981) (TV)
Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) (uncredited)
The Invisible Man (1984) (TV)
Grange Hill (1978) (1985–1989) (TV)
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) (uncredited)
Coronation Street (1960) (1989) (TV)
