Hello fellow teacehrs if any of you are looking for work dont be employed by yes media they are stupid and cluless they try to run after school programs but have no clue about english or education, they also have a tax scam where they force the teacher to open an account in your own name for them to use, so just stay away

You see, thats your opinion.

We need proof, there are many people that have a problem with an agency but sometimes the problem is not the agency!

I could say I have a problem with you, your shit stinks, does that make it a problem for everyone?

Y0, da problem is that any agency or school that hires a teacher is askin' for the teacher to trust 'em. We side with the teachers here on TEFLWatch and yo, I sure wish Airpuka would post more info, but hey, the dude gave enough info to ask the right questions in a job interview and before signin' on the dotted line.

It seems that several after-school programme agencies are asking teachers to do rather strange things with bank accounts. I know several people who work for one such agency in Bucheon and they haven't had any problems and really like their jobs; however, why their employers cannot arrange a straight-forward system of payment is a bit strange.

ok bottom line is what they are doing is illegal, i called the labor office and told them and they said that its illegal what they are doing and that i should wait for my contract to end and then report them to some local education office so that my visa will be easier to tranfer to a new job. So if you are reading this just trust me Stay AWAY from yes media, they are unorginized and you end up getting sucked into doing tons of stuff thats not your responsibility. And im not here to try and screw over the company and say their shit stinks im on here to help someone from working for a crap system.

My friend, who works for a similar agency, was under the impression that it is a legally vague matter. He gets paid by an elementary school; he passes the money on to his employer; and then his employer deposits the money in another account. It seems quite bizarre indeed.

In what city were you working?

im working in youngin city and yes media is trying to open a lot of after school programs in the suji area so stay away, my employer is a complete idiot, ive been working for 5 months now and have not gotten a payslip yet, then i find out that he has been using the bankaccount i had to give him to transfer money to some girls account and not the media company which is  bad for me cause now i cant prove my true income, i had a meeting with the principal of the school yesterday and told him all of this so we will see what happens next.
